Larose Trades Number One Pick

April 30th at 7:20 P.M. That's when reigning champion Wyatt Larose will be on the clock for the first pick in the draft. Or will he? There have been rumblings about who or what he will do with the first pick. He has a former college teammate in the draft (Derek Boulin) and another friend that he entered in Cody West. He also has a friend of his named Calvin Carter. Carter is a former Gatorade Player of the year for Vermont, but we have no idea what kind of shape he is coming in with. When I asked him who he would take, It wasn't who I would've thought.

"Case Ballard," said Larose. "There aren't many good bigs in the league, so taking one that's 6'6 that can also shoot the ball well is intriguing."

However, Lakers Captain Logan Tobin has been trying to wheel n deal this week. His initial plan was to swap first, and second-round picks with Mavs captain Tim Luneau, who holds the number four and 11th pick. But in a pickup session on Wednesday night, Tobin asked Larose what it'll take to get the number one pick.

Larose is hesitant because he wants to make sure a particular player is available at the number five spot. That player is yet to be revealed.

After two nights of conversation, the deal at the moment stands as

Logan receives:

Wyatts 1.01

Wyatts 7.01

Wyatt Receives:

Logans: 1.05

Logans 4.03

Nothing is official yet, but things are heating up. It will be the second trade in SBL history if the transaction goes through.
